The
Women's Journal, April/May 2007

PUBLISHERS' NOTE
At long last, summer is finally upon us. Although running a women's educational paper is rewarding, warmer weather certainly makes it easier. Every issue the Women's Journal seeks out local, community professionals to sponsor and write articles that will hopefully be of importance to the women in our counties. Consumer research shows that women are responsible for a majority of household decisions, and they are much less likely than men to act on impulse. In other words, most women make a concerted effort to find out as much relevant information about a topic before they will financially get involved in making a buying decision. However, despite living in the information age, it can still be surprisingly difficult to find helpful advice from qualified professionals. It is our goal to connect the knowledge and experience of qualified, community professionals with women so that they may make better-informed and therefore easier decisions. After all, if important decisions can be made easier and faster, there's more time to get outside and enjoy your free time!
The Women's Journal can be found in most hospitals and doctor's offices throughout each county we have papers in. Some of the places we have racks or larger quantities of papers are some of the local drug stores such as Eckard, Rite Aide, Food Lion, Food Source, libraries, Hospitals, fitness facilities, Hayes Sewing Center, Borders Book Stores, Jewish Community Center, YMCA, Pure Bread Rest., Brew HaHa, just to name a few. If you are looking for a copy, give us a call and we will tell you a location close by where you can find the paper. If you would like the Women's Journal distributed to your business please let us know. We wish everyone a happy, healthy, and warm summer!
Sincerely,
Pamela Rizzo and Heather Shafer, Publishers
