Its simple linguistics, if you try to “quit smoking” there is a possibility, a very likely possibility, that you will fail. If you change your life, there is no failure. Our brain is divided between the conscious and the subconscious. Our conscious mind does four main things. It analyzes, rationalizes, contains the short term memory and controls will power. Most people run into problems with the last part. Will power is like the adrenaline of the mind. Each time you use it for the same purpose, it lasts for less and less time. If you’ve tried to quit before it might have worked for a few weeks, then the next attempt may have worked for a couple days and the last quit attempt may have only worked for a few hours. Your subconscious mind controls your habits, emotions and long term memory. It works like a computer by accepting whatever suggestions are entered. The problem is most of the time your conscious mind prevents the suggestions from ever making it into your subconscious. It analyzes them, decides they are too hard, and blocks them resulting in failure. With hypnosis, we are able to bypass your conscious mind and speak directly to your subconscious. As long as the suggestion is acceptable to you it will be accepted into your mind and change will happen. It’s as simple as that. With-out the conscious mind around to tell you how hard change might be, your mind is willing to do whatever it’s told within the limits of your morality and comfort level. There are many misconceptions about hypnosis. None of the bad ones are true. Hypnosis is not mind control; I can’t make you do anything you don’t want to. You can hear everything when you’re in a hypnotic trance. You can never be stuck in a hypnotic trance. Hypnosis is an approved method of alternative treatment by the American Medical Association, it is not magic or a hoax. Hypnosis is very real and very successful.

Most hypnotists will boast of success rates in the high 90% range. The fact is though, that as a competent trained hypnotist, your success rate is 100%.
