PUBLISHERS' NOTE

My favorite time of year is fall. Even though I love spring, summer and winter, there is just something about the cool air at night, breezy days, and walking on the beach with hardly anyone there.

October is "Breast Cancer Awareness Month". With that in mind, please make an appointment for YOUR breast exam, it can make a significant difference in your life, IT CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE. A wonderful gift for a friend or relative is an appointment made and paid for by you for an examination, this is a way to say that you care and love that person.

Thanksgiving is like a pause between a very long holiday shopping season that begins in October (some say September) and ends shortly after New Year's Day. It is a rushed holiday. The celebration is over Thursday night. And before you know it, the busiest shopping day of the year is the very next day. As we join our families for this joyous holiday please take time to give thanks for our men and women serving in the military. We hope that they will soon be home safe.

Thanks for all the calls and request we have had from readers telling us how much they love the paper, and asking for the paper to be distributed to their area. The County Women's Journal is available in medical buildings, hospitals, doctor's offices, recreation centers, libraries, bookstores, coffee shops, hair salons, supermarkets, thousands of homes and many other local businesses. Can't put your hands on a copy? Just call us so we can help.

Sincerely,
Pamela Rizzo and Heather Shafer, Publishers
