Now that summer is upon us, we have had so many women come in and ask for help updating their wardrobes. The #1 question we get asked is “What is in?” and we always answer, “What you like” is what is in. Rose and I have always shopped conservatively for our store apparel with regards to style and price. When I was growing up, my mother would always say to me and my sisters “Do you think money grows on trees”? I found myself saying the same thing to my children when they were young. When Rose and I go shopping for merchandise for our store we always ask ourselves “Would we pay that price for it” and “Is the quality good enough that we would buy it for ourselves”? If the answer is yes to both, then we consider it for our store. Our staff always stresses the fact that buying trendy things is not always a good thing. Fads come and go, but classics always stay.
We like to focus more attention on shoes, purses and accessories for adding that pop of color and newness to an outfit.
Our summer apparel has been arriving on a daily basis. We still carry our tried and true Not Your Daughter Jeans along with the complete line of Spanx products. Our Beanpod candles are a hit with both men and women alike. Beanpod scents are right on the mark along with being good for you and the environment. These candles give off no black soot which causes a lot of asthma and allergy sufferers to shy away from candles. The candle is 100% soy, made in the USA and supports our local farmers. The wick is all cotton with no lead.
We are introducing several new apparel and jewelry lines this year. Our Polish Pottery has arrived, and if I do say so myself, we have a marvelous selection to choose from. We have expanded our home and personal gift lines for all genders at a variety of price points.
We are currently offering an assortment of easy to make summer dips , cold pasta salad mixes and warm fruity cobbler mixes just in time for those impromptu family gatherings. We have a marvelous wine glace’ mix that makes those hot balmy nights on the front porch so much more enjoyable. It’s not a margarita, but a wine-a-rita. Another new product we are introducing this season is Tea forte. Our teas are imported from all around the world. We have many wonderful flavors to choose from such as Rasp-berry Nectar and African Solstice herbals, Oasis and Jasmine green, White ambrosia tea along with Black Currant and English black teas. They can be served hot or cold. These teas come in loose tins or in sampler packs. Stop by and ask for a sample of these delicious tasting teas.
