What Does HOME Look Like To You?: PUMH Communities Offer Unique Locations, Our Newest Near Bethany Beach!
Peninsula United Methodist Homes: Looking Good for Your Retirement
In 1954 PUMH started a revolution in Delaware, establishing the first continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in the state, and subsequently developing three others. All four are known for their beautiful settings, but PUMH offers more than just a pretty place to live—we provide outstanding opportunities for residents to flourish and be fulfilled, feel secure and well cared for, both today and well into their future.
PUMH communities are uniquely situated in urban, suburban, small town, and resort environments, and are neighborhoods that you may already know:
Country House in Greenville, Delaware was the state’s premier CCRC. Located on the cusp of the city, it has the feel of a gracious estate yet is just minutes from Wilmington. Manor House in Seaford, is located between the Atlantic and the Chesapeake Bay. Wesley Wellness Center, with its signature indoor pool and fitness center is on-site.
Cokesbury Village, a Hockessin landmark, includes cottage enclaves and a residential tower with breathtaking views. Indoor pool and health club are on-site, and here civic engagement is strong.
Heron Point of Chestertown is located on the Chester River on Mary-land’s Eastern Shore. A private pier and floating dock is on-site; Washington College and historic Chestertown are next door.
What makes us different?
While unique in location and character, each of these communities hold one important similarity: as continuing care retirement communities they offer the full continuum of lifecare. Luxury residences (the majority), spacious assisted living apartments, rehabilitative services, health centers, and units designed for memory impairment are all available. Most importantly, all four communities are fully accredited, a recognition earned by only 10% of CCRCs nationwide. This voluntary accreditation means that PUMH continues to meet the rigorous performance standards required by the Continuing Care Accreditation Com-mission to carry their mark. It is a standard of excellence that PUMH takes seriously.
Getting ahead with style and substance.
PUMH has succeeded because there is substance behind the style. We pioneered the idea of full service retirement living and continue to grow, develop new programs, and have new ventures on the horizon. We are resident-focused—tending to the wholeness of mind, body, and spirit drives our business. It’s an investment in yourself and your future that reaps real rewards.
