PUBLISHERS' NOTE

It is always amazing to me how fast a summer can go. We start out thinking of all the wonderful things we plan to do during the long, hot, lazy days of summer and then it comes, and it is anything but long, lazy days. Every year I promise myself that I am going to take more time off from work and enjoy my grandkids, and just lay by the beach or pool, and one more summer has gotten away from me, and my poor grandkids probably have forgotten what I even look like. I am sure that this all sounds way too familiar to most of you.

The daily papers are full of doom and gloom where the economy is concerned, and, if November doesn’t get here soon, we may all go mad just listening to the politicians telling us how perfect they are going to make the economy, the world, and of course all the problems in the middle east. But we should all get out and do our civic duty and vote. Who knows they may just fool us and really make things better.

With all of the negative news we see in the news, the Women’s Journal is a positive, educational paper that will give you lots of great information, and except for the publisher’s note you are not going to read any negative news and you might even read a great article that will help you save more money, get rid of those extra pounds or convince you to go out and just pamper your tired, over-worked body at one of the wonderful facilities in our paper.

So get out there and enjoy the last wonderful days of summer and since gas is too expensive to do much traveling, why not take a short trip to one of our great state parks, museums, or just spend a day at the beach with the kids or friends. Don’t miss the Rehoboth Jazz Festival this fall.

Remember our troops and try to stay cool for the remainder of our hot weather.
